Electric Scooter Warranty in Cambodia: What Buyers Should Check

Quick answer: A warranty is only useful if you understand what is covered, for how long, and where a claim can actually be handled.

Six things to ask before buying

  1. What is the vehicle warranty period?
  2. What is the battery warranty period?
  3. When does the battery warranty start?
  4. What documents are required for a claim?
  5. Which failures or damage are excluded?
  6. Where is the authorized service location?

Why battery terms deserve special attention

The battery is one of the highest-value components of an electric scooter. Warranty terms can differ by battery chemistry and model, so do not assume the battery follows the same warranty period as the rest of the vehicle.

Global brand experience. Local presence in Cambodia.

AIMA’s global website describes the company as a leading global electric two-wheeler brand and reports more than 100 million electric two-wheelers sold worldwide cumulatively during 2006–2025. This is a global cumulative figure, not Cambodia sales or a single year’s sales.

Local after-sales support for your AIMA

AIMA Cambodia supports you beyond the purchase with local inspection, maintenance and warranty assistance, plus parts support including motors. Our Phnom Penh team is your contact for service arrangements and model-specific advice. After-sales service and support →

Graphene battery configurations

Our current Cambodia sales range uses graphene batteries. Confirm the battery voltage, capacity, charging requirements and written warranty for the exact version you choose. Battery life depends on use and care; no fixed lifespan is promised.

JoyBean: removable battery

JoyBean offers a removable battery for more flexible charging arrangements. Ask the showroom to demonstrate removal and refitting, and confirm the appropriate charger and a suitable charging location before purchase.

Rainy-season checks

Ask about the protection requirements of your specific battery, motor and controller, and inspect the vehicle’s ground clearance. A component’s water-resistance rating does not establish the protection of the whole vehicle or permission to ride through floodwater. Follow the vehicle manual.

Local parts enquiries

AIMA Cambodia supplies parts including motors. Contact the local team to confirm model compatibility, current availability, fitting arrangements, cost and lead time. Parts support does not mean every component is always in stock or replaced free of charge.
